DMCA Policy

Last updated: March 6, 2026

Our Commitment to Copyright

Alter AI Studios respects intellectual property rights and expects users of Faceflux to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and will respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement promptly.

How Faceflux Works

Faceflux is a Chrome extension that allows users to apply face-swap AI processing to images displayed in their browser. Faceflux itself does not host, store, or distribute third-party copyrighted images. Users process images from websites they browse — responsibility for using copyrighted third-party content appropriately lies with the user.

Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content accessible through Faceflux or stored on our servers infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our Designated Copyright Agent at the contact below. Your notice must include all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  2. Identification of the allegedly infringing material — enough information to permit us to locate the material, including the specific URL or other precise location.
  3. Your contact information — your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement of good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement of accuracy and authority — a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Important: Submitting a false DMCA notice may expose you to legal liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including damages and attorney fees.

Counter-Notification

If you believe that content was removed or disabled due to a mistaken or misidentified DMCA notice, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material removed and the location where it appeared before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in which you reside (or Los Angeles, CA if outside the U.S.), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice

Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, we maintain a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers, at our sole discretion and in appropriate circumstances.

Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII)

Faceflux strictly prohibits the creation or distribution of non-consensual intimate imagery. If you believe someone has used Faceflux to create NCII involving you, please contact us immediately at dmca@faceflux.ai. We will take immediate action to investigate and remove such content, and may report violations to law enforcement.
